Garden Party is my version of what a fun and whimsical garden should look like in the heat of the day. There are vibrantly colored plant shapes with whimsical animals carousing through their habitat, often seen with a leaf hanging out of their mouths, perhaps a snack to munch on or share with a friend. I love adding details like dots and puzzle shapes to give added interest for the viewer's eyes as they travel across the canvas. Even as the creator of this piece, it still makes me smile and I always look for Lester, who makes an appearance in most of these pieces.
